&hearts:What I have to say this time around:
I am not the type of person that likes to talk about her personal life, but I do have my own opinions about things and I am known for speaking my mind. I just believe that certain parts of a person's life, are personal for a reason and they should be kept that way. I do love working in the entertainment business, but I don't think I should have to change myself for them or tell my whole life story just to make them accept me. I am hear to play roles that will advance the way women are scene in the media; I believe that tough women can be shown in the lead and there are people out there that would come to see those kinds of movies in roves. Look at Xena Warrior Princess, Resident Evil, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Charmed and X-Men. All of those shows and movies had women in leading cast roles and they were huge hits at the box office or on television. I believe that if screen writers could open their eyes to something outside of their own comfort zone there is so much more that can be explored in that area. It would do the industry a world of good, and it would do young women in America and around the world some good to see women who can fend for themselves and still be a Attractive, Beautiful Woman. We shouldn't display tough women as all tomboy, because that's just not the case. Women can have the best of both worlds, if they really want it. It is just one of those things that you have to fight for; I can guarantee you that you are going to get knocked down, but getting up and trying again is what will get you there in the end.
Prejudice is the child of ignorance.
William Hazlitt
I just think that it is sad that most people can't look past what is on the surface to see what is underneath. Judging someone or any situation before getting to know them or the facts doesn't really do anyone any good. You just might miss the chance to get to know someone amazing or to do something amazing with your life. You never know what is underneath the surface until you take the time to dig a little deeper. It is always worth it to learn more about anything, because knowledge only advances life. Unfortunately there are always going to be people out there who are blissful in their ignorance, and the only way to continue your search of wisdom is to ignore their ignorance. They are going to say and do stupid things to try and make you feel like less of a person or to derail you from your goals. The one way to keep them from winning is to not listen to a word they have to say; know that you can do anything you set your mind to and keep trying until you get there. The other important thing for you to do is to love yourself; I don't think it's narcissistic at all to love yourself and believe in yourself. I think some people are really scared to do that. I have to. If I don't, I would not succeed in what I do. Just remember that you have just as much of a right as anyone else out there to live your dreams, but if you don't fight for that right no one else can win it for you. It is up to you to make yourself be all that you can be, as cheesy as that may sound.
“The human race has only one really effective weapon and that is laughter.”
Mark Twain
My way of getting through adversity is laughter; if people who are trying to get to you see that it isn't working then they usually get bored and give up. The best way to do that is to find the amusing and happy things in your life, and that makes is easy to laugh everything else off. If you sit and fret all day about everything that is going wrong in your life then you are going to miss all of the good things that could be coming your way. Now, I am not saying you should just sit back and ignore your problems and wait for them to go away, because that won't work. What I am saying, is that if you take a step back from your problems for a minute and think on something else just for that little moment 99 percent of the time a solution will present itself that you hadn't thought of before. It is not easy to take that step back, but then again nothing in life worth having is ever easy. Everything in life that you have to fight for is more than worth it, because it reminds you what you are truly capable of. Each scar from every single battle is like a medal, because they each will teach you something that will make you wiser in your later years. I think this is one of those things that comes with age though, because you don't realize how important some of those moments are until you are older and looking back on them. As I get older and I look back on my life, I am surprised to find that I wouldn't change those mistakes, because they are a large part of what has made me who I am today. And to be honest, I kind of like the woman that I have become.
Attempting to get at truth means rejecting stereotypes and cliches.
Harold Evans
If I could do anything to make stereotypes disappear forever I would, because I believe they are one of the worst things in the world today. Wars are raged based on stereotypes and that is just so wrong and downright sad. Most people look at me and see this tough woman who doesn't have an ounce of femininity or intelligence to match that brawn, but what most people don't know about me is that I am actually self educated and I happen to love designing my own clothes. That is one of the reasons I stay away from those stupid tabloid magazines, because I know that if I let what people say about me in them get to me then I wouldn't be where I am today. I believe that being secure in myself is what has got me here, and that has nothing to do with how other people see me. It's all about how I see myself, and personally I think I am a pretty alright person. So, anytime someone asks me advice I tell them to stop looking to everyone else for answers and to go take a long look in the mirror and make the decision that will allow them to continue looking at themselves in that same mirror every single day for the rest of their lives. Those kind of decisions are always the hardest to make, but it seems that they always seem to have the best results.
For now I am done talking about myself and my views on life, so I am just going to leave you with a little video of me and my baby. I really am a little softie, but that just goes to show people have so many layers.
